Zaccariotto, Giambattista

Researcher

Giambattista Zaccariotto is associate professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. He is practicing landscape architect at Asplan Viak (NO) and visiting professor at the University IUAV of Venezia, Postgraduate European Master in Urbanism (EMU). Focus of his work is the project of the contemporary city and territory using landscape as point of departure with water as key. His PhD in Urbanism (University IUAV Venezia and TU Delft ) is a research  by design on water-sensitive design tools for territories of dispersion. His previous affiliations  include West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture Rotterdam and Studio Secchi-Viganò Architecture & Urbanism Milano. He is co-editor of the books Scarcity in Excess, The Built Environment and the Economic Crisis in Iceland (2014) and Landscapes of Water (2008).

Sjödahl, Elisabeth

Researcher

Elisabeth is an architect and landscape architect, and is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. She is the co-­founder of International Workshops for Architecture and Urbanism (IWAU) and founding partner of Worksonland, which develops urban, architectural and landscape  projects where water has a strong influence. Past teaching at KTH Stockholm,  UCH CEU Valencia, and ETSAV University,  Valencia.

Müller, Sabine

Professor

Sabine Müller is Professor of Urbanism at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. She is an architect and partner in the architectural practice SMAQ, based in Berlin. She has taught at Technical University of Delft, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Bauhaus Dessau and Cornell University. Her research focus, based on research by design, lies in the field of transformative urban design and ecological-infrastructural urbanism. She has published “Charter of Dubai – A Manifest of Critical Urban Transformation”, “Brakin – Brazzaville- Kinshasa : Visualizing the Visible” and contributed to many other books and exhibitions mapping the field of contemporary and environmental challenges.

Perkiewicz, Patrycja

PhD-fellow

Patrycja is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. Her research is developing on field of  “water urbanism”, focusing on water management and landscape design of the Oder River in Lower Silesia region in Poland.
