Ellefsen, Halvor

Researcher

Halvor is an architect, and Associate Professor at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). He graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, 2005. His PhD from AHO focused on recent harbor front developments in Oslo (1980-2010).

Harboe, Lisbet

Researcher

Lisbet is Associate Professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. She has  years of experience from architectural practice. In 2012 she recieved her PhD at AHO with the dissertation titled: “Social Concerns in Contemporary Architecture: Three European Practices and Their Works”. Currently, Lisbet coordinates the Master in Urbanism programme, and teaches in the Urban Design Studio.

Helgason, Vignir Freyr

Vignir has a cand. arch. in architecture (The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts: School of Architecture) and an additional Executive Master’s Degree in Architectural Preservation (AHO). His experience stems from both the private and public sectors. Vignir’s architectural portfolio exemplifies a variety of methodologies such as adaptive-reuse, transformation and restoration of historic buildings, as well as planning projects that deal with different types of social- and material contexts. He has worked with, written and lectured on subjects related to urban and architectural transformation and the sustainable development of cultural environments – all themes that relate to his research interests. His current research on mapping, managing and developing place qualities links to the fields of cultural heritage and urbanism. He is currently a part of the Norwegian Urbanism research group.
