SUV – Preparing Cities for Autonomous Vehicles

The project brings together 5 academic partners with the specific expertise needed, including the School of Architecture of Oslo and Robert Gordon University (urban/regional planning), Halmstad University and Oslomet (ICT expert), University of Ghent (Social Inclusion), in addition to RICS (macroeconomic). In order to apply and validate future knowledge, SUV also includes 4 local authorities (HITRANS, Almene, Varberg and the Hanover region).

Hauglin, Espen

Researcher

Espen  is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape where he studies use of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) in strategic planning. The project is focusing on how geographical information can expose urban patterns and how such information, both spatial and nonspatial, can reveal new site relationships.
After finishing a two-year literature programme at NTNU, Espen started his architectural studies at Bergen School of Architecture where he received his bachelor degree in 1998. He graduated from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in 2001 with his diploma work ‘Byutvikling i Øst; urban prosjektering langs havnefronten’.
