Hemmersam, Peter

Professor

Peter Hemmersam is a professor in urban design at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. He is trained as an architect and is a former partner in the architectural practice Transform. His main research interest lies in the field of urban design. He is currently undertaking research on Arctic cities, periurban landscapes of the Oslo region and placemaking. He directs the Oslo Centre for Urban and Landscape Studies.

Harboe, Lisbet

Researcher

Lisbet is Associate Professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape. She has  years of experience from architectural practice. In 2012 she recieved her PhD at AHO with the dissertation titled: “Social Concerns in Contemporary Architecture: Three European Practices and Their Works”. Currently, Lisbet coordinates the Master in Urbanism programme, and teaches in the Urban Design Studio.

Holtan, Åste Kristine Ullring

PhD-fellow

Åste is a Norwegian architect with a Cand. Arch in Architecture and Extreme Environments from the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture, Design and Conservation. Her background is from working in the cross-section between Architecture, Technology, Innovation and Society, with a special focus on the development of sustainable futures. Furthermore, Åste brings with her several years of experience working with the development of a ‘pedestrian-friendly mountain village’ as an Urban Planner in the Winter Destination Hemsedal. Her childhood in the Alpine region of Jotunheimen has also shaped Åste’s love for snow and winter.
